PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE IN PHILIPPINE ELECTION 2016

As the election day is fast approaching here in the Philippines, voters continue to scrutinize every presidential candidate and even its vice president who are currently running for the position. As an ordinary citizen we continue to discuss those candidate among household members and even among neighbors of who really deserve to sit in those position whether they are really capable to handle the highest position of the land, In the Philippines we have the current Vice President running for President VP Jejomar Binay started his career as a human rights lawyer and who has served as Mayor for so many years in Makati City who has vast record in developing Makati and was loved by the residents of Makati because he always fulfilled his promised to the people of Makati and became the vice president in the last election. Another candidate Sec Mar Roxas who is the grandson of former Philippine President Manuel A. Roxas the fifth President in the Philippines, became a congressman in 1993, He was appointed as Secretary of Department of Trade and Industry in the year 2000. Mar Roxas was elected as Senator in the year 2004, He was the running mate of Incumbent President Noy Aquino but failed to make it as vice president in the last election but was appointed by President Aquino as DILG Interior secretary. The third candidate is a former mayor and congressman from Davao City located in Southern part of Philippines Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte who is a lawyer by profession became a mayor and congressman in Davao City who is known for his strict disciplinary action in getting rid of corruption, rebellion, drug problem and criminality in Davao City and even promises that once elected he’ll clean the Philippines of graft and corruption, drug problem and criminality within six months after election and Grace Poe Llamanzares the daughter of well known and respected actor, is new in politics run as senator emerges as the number one senator last election and made a good record in the senate and another is Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago who had served the three branches in the government - judicial, legislative and legislative . Served as legal officer of the UN High Commissioner for refugees at Geneva, Switzerland and going back to the Philippines she was appointed as judged of the Regional Trial Court in Quezon City, Metro Manila by Pres Ferdinand Marcos, Became a commissioner of immigration and deportation under then President Corazon C. Aquino and was promoted as Cabinet member as Secretary of Agrarian Reform. Although she lost in 1992 Presidential election against President Fidel Ramos she was first elected senator in 1995 election. And the last but not the least Roy V. Señeres a lawyer, a columnist, became a chairman of National Labor Relations Commission of the Department of Labor and Employment. In 2013 became a congressman as a representative of the OFW family club party-list and served as labor attaché in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Withdraw his candidacy last February 5, 2016 and died February 8, 2016 due to cardiac arrest.
